Mary Rush Care Ltd in Birmingham is looking for a Climbing Assistant Manager to lead an energetic team and oversee day-to-day operations at our climbing centre. You will partner with the Center Manager to maintain safety, deliver outstanding customer service, and foster a welcoming community.

The role involves organising events, managing staff, and supporting growth initiatives while staying hands-on in a dynamic leisure environment. Experience in climbing or outdoors is a plus.

The Role

As our Assistant Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the action. You'll Help our Center Manager lead a team of friendly and enthusiastic staff, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, and help shape the future of our centre as we continue to grow. Think of yourself as a mix between a team captain, operations wizard, and community cheerleader.

Oversee daily operations, staffing, and health & safety

Inspire, lead, and support an awesome team

Maintain top-tier customer service and a welcoming, inclusive vibe

Organise events, workshops, and competitions

Keep an eye on budgets, stock, and site performance

Help drive growth through community engagement and innovative ideas

Support our centre manager to grow and lead our Team

Have experience in team leadership or management (bonus if it’s in the leisure or climbing sector!)

Love climbing or the outdoors and want to share that passion with others

Are organised, proactive, and great with people

Thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment

Have a head for problem-solving and a heart for community
