Job summary

Accountable Recruitment Limited is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant (Part Qualified) in Bootle, United Kingdom. The role supports the finance team with monthly management accounts and reporting, working across accruals, reconciliations, budgeting and stock accounting.

The ideal candidate is part-qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in a commercial finance environment and strong Excel skills. Hybrid/Office-based arrangement with clear progression opportunities and study support.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience assisting with or preparing monthly management accounts.
• Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Prepare and post accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end processes.
• Produce profit and loss reports and variance analysis.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and stock records.
• Support stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Produce KPI reports and management information.
• Process financial transactions and maintain accounting records.
• Prepare VAT returns and support statutory reporting requirements.
• Assist with cashflow reporting and working capital management.
• Support purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control functions as required.
• Work with operational departments to provide financial insight and analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.

Education
