Job summary

Sharp Consultancy in Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a growing finance team and gain hands-on experience from day one. You will support Management Accounts and manage own projects, delivering financial data to agreed timetables and working with different teams to improve profitability.

As you develop, there will be opportunities to progress and you will gain exposure to the entire finance process with study support toward becoming a fully qualified accountant.

Qualifications

• Studying CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
• Experience in Management Accounts / Assistant Accounts.
• Eligible to work in the UK full time.

Responsibilities

• Providing financial input and support to the management team.
• Assisting with production of Month end and Year end accounts.
• Producing commentary on Month/Year end reports for senior finance members.
• Coordinating with auditors (internal and external).
• Supporting other colleagues within the team and wider Finance Team.

This is a unique opportunity within the manufacturing industry for a CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part Qualified accountant to join a growing finance team where you will gain exposure and hands on experience from day 1.

As an Assistant Management Accountant in this team, you will be supporting the Management Accounts as well as taking on responsibility for some of your own projects. You will be responsible for production of financial data to agreed timetables whilst working with different teams to enhance profitability.

The main duties of this role, but not limited to:

• Providing financial input and support.
• Assisting with the production of Month end and Year end accounts
• Producing commentary on Month/Year end reports presenting to Senior Members of the finance team
• Providing help and assistance to other colleagues within the team and working with the wider Finance Team
• Coordinating with auditors (both internal and external)
• Other Ad-hoc duties when required

As you develop within this role and company there will potentially be opportunities for you to progress. You will gain exposure to the entire finance process along side the study support to become a fully qualified accountant.

Ideally you will be a studying CIMA/ACCA/ with experience in Management Accounts/ Assistant Accounts/ Finance Assistant who is looking to further develop their skill set within accounting.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
