Working closely with the finance team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and helping the business make informed commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process to aid effective financial planning.
Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any variances or discrepancies.
Producing financial reports and analysis to support business performance and decision-making.
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Working with stakeholders across the business to monitor costs and identify opportunities for improvement.
Supporting year-end and audit processes, including the preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within finance processes and reporting.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Previous experience within an Assistant Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, or similar finance role.
A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
Excellent Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Desirable:
AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
