Job summary

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join the UK Finance team at the London Head Office. You will support monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and budgeting for UK sites.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with restaurant teams, use Sage Intacct, and contribute to efficient reporting and controls while developing your professional accounting skills in a fast-growing global restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar finance function is essential.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
• Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
• Newly qualified or working towards a professional qualification.
• Experience in international multi-site hospitality or retail group.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Able to meet deadlines and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for UK sites.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants is the restaurant business of internationally renowned, multi-Michelin starred chef Gordon Ramsay. Gordon Ramsay Restaurants operate string of successful restaurants and dining destinations globally from Michelin stars to relaxed all day dining, from the UK and France to Dubai, Singapore and the United States.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance department, with a key focus on supporting our UK operations and Restaurants.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be an integral part of the Group Finance department, providing essential administrative and financial support and contributing to the efficient day-to-day operations of the finance function while developing your skills and knowledge in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts, focusing on UK owned sites.
• Support the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company records.
• Perform credit card reconciliations, ensuring appropriate documentation and categorisation of expenses.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end reporting packs.
• Support in the preparation and production of annual budgets.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of information for the external audit, including responding to auditor queries.
• Collaborate with the broader finance team to enhance reporting, controls and processes.
• Support with ad-hoc reporting requests when required.

About You:

• Previous experience working in a similar finance function is a must.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality through to completion.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify issues and develop practical solutions.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and perform well under pressure.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Organised, self-motivated and forward-thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident working with stakeholders across all departments and restaurant teams.
• Experience using Sage Intacct.
• Newly qualified or working towards professional accountancy qualification.
• Previous experience in international multi-site, multi entity hospitality or retail group.
