Job summary

Individual Restaurants in the United Kingdom is seeking an analytical and commercially minded Assistant Commercial Accountant to join our Finance team. You will turn data into meaningful insight to support operational and commercial decision-making across a growing hospitality business.

You'll collaborate with Finance, Operations and Marketing, producing high-quality reporting and analysing business performance to drive informed decisions.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA or CIMA part-qualified (or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capability.
• Excellent Excel skills with confidence manipulating and presenting data.
• Highly numerate with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Reporting & Analysis.
• Prepare accurate and insightful weekly Executive Board Packs, highlighting trends, variances and drivers.
• Produce regular commercial reporting for Operations and Marketing with commentary on performance.
• Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting to support strategic decisions.
• Prepare weekly margin reporting usingFood & Beverage reporting systems.
• Ensure accurate reporting of labour performance including weekly and month-end activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and latest-best-estimate processes with schedules and variance analysis.
• Maintain financial data and reporting structures across the business.
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve commercial performance and profitability.
• Partner with Operations to provide performance reporting and analysis.
• Help managers understand key financial drivers for informed decisions.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Finance, Operations and Marketing.

What You'll Be Doing

• Help managers understand key financial drivers and use data to make informed decisions.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Finance, Operations and Marketing stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience
