Job description

We are looking for a Part-Qualified Accountant to work as an Assistant Accountant in a growing team based in Appleton Thorn. This role offers hybrid working and is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing experience and make the role your own.

Client Details

This is a business with a £2 million turnover, with plans to increase by 10% over the next 12 to 18 months through new contracts being signed this summer. The role will be part of the Management Accountant team, reporting to the senior MA, within a wider finance team that offers progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

1. Preparation and submission of VAT and RCT returns.
2. Ensuring timely payment of all taxation.
3. Bank postings and reconciliations.
4. Preparation of creditor payment files for approval.
5. Posting of monthly journals.
6. Monthly valuation of stocktakes.
7. Preparation of draft Management Accounts for review.
8. Review of control and balance sheet accounts.
9. Maintenance of accounting software as required.

Profile

• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately.
• Proven problem-solving abilities.
