Job summary

Paul Card Recruitment is assisting a North East employer to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant in a brand-new role designed to shape how finance is delivered. You will support monthly management accounts and reporting, plus balance sheet reconciliations, sales ledger, journals, accruals and prepayments, cash flow and financial

Qualifications

• Experience in transactional finance and month-end processes.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manipulate data.
• Exposure to management accounts and financial reporting.
• AAT qualification or studying towards AAT is welcomed and considered.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts and reporting.
• Do balance sheet and ledger reconciliations.
• Manage sales ledger and journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with cash flow and financial reporting.
• Identify and implement finance process improvements.

Who we're looking for

You may currently be a Finance Assistant or Assistant Accountant who's ready for more exposure and responsibility.

You'll ideally have good transactional finance experience, some exposure to month-end and strong Excel skills.

We're equally open to candidates who are AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT, and those who have developed their knowledge and accounting experience through their career. What matters is that you have a strong grounding in finance, the ability to take on this next step and the ambition to continue developing.

Most importantly, you'll be proactive, keen to learn and comfortable bringing new ideas to the team.
