The Opportunity

You'll support the Financial Controller across all core finance activities, working as part of a small and focused team.

The company is preparing for a Sage 200 system upgrade, and you'll have a key part to play.

This is a hands-on role based in an open-plan, collaborative office, where finance sits alongside the wider business.



What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintain accurate purchase, sales, and general ledgers

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts

  • Support budgeting and cashflow forecasting

  • Lead on reconciliations and ensure financial data accuracy

  • Prepare VAT returns and assist in external reporting

  • Contribute to the successful rollout of Sage 200

  • Gain exposure to CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)-useful experience, but not a must



What You'll Bring

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs as a minimum)

  • Experience with Sage 50, Sage 200, or similar accounting software

  • Methodical and accurate approach to routine finance tasks

  • Confidence working with people across departments
