Job summary
NPR Recruit is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Engineer to join a Global Engineering Automation Leader with a 150-year track record. The role starts with comprehensive training and continues with career progression and certified training opportunities.
You’ll work on automation equipment, support engineers, and ensure safety compliance on site. Ideal candidates have NVQ 2/3 or an engineering apprenticeship and experience in manufacturing or FMCG settings.
Qualifications
- Work experience in a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment.
- Basic work within an electrical or mechanical environment.
- To carry out an initial response to automation equipment.
- Prioritise basic system faults.
- Support and assist Engineers with equipment servicing.
- Compliant with Health & Safety legislation.
- Assist with the resolution of any equipment faults Mechanical/Electrical.
- Support continual improvement of the site.
Responsibilities
- Assist Engineers with equipment servicing and routine maintenance.
- Provide initial fault diagnosis and response to automation equipment.
- Prioritise and help resolve basic system faults to minimise downtime.
- Follow Health & Safety legislation in all tasks.
- Contribute to site continuous improvement initiatives.
