Job summary

Pet Blood Bank UK in Loughborough is seeking an Assistant Logistics Manager to join our Logistics team. This permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours) offers a starting salary of £30,940 per annum and a clear path to supporting the Logistics Manager in delivering vital services for pets and owners.

The role involves coordinating collection, storage and distribution of blood products, stock and vehicle management, rotas and out-of-hours coverage, while ensuring GMP and safety requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of logistics processes and MS Office 365.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately and independently.
• Professional, flexible and enthusiastic approach, with teamwork ability.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Logistics Manager with day-to-day running of the Logistics Team.
• Coordinate safe and efficient collection, storage and distribution of blood products.
• Coordinate and track deliveries, donor session logistics, equipment and supplies.
• Assist with stock, vehicles and the Loughborough logistics facilities management.
• Ensure storage conditions, cleaning, maintenance and records meet standards.
• Assist with rotas, including out-of-hours cover, and supervise logistics staff.
• Escalate non-conformances to the Department Manager and Quality Team.
• Assist with logistics reporting, stock ordering and future project implementation.
• Collaborate across the organisation to ensure ongoing Pet Blood Bank service delivery.
