Job summary

The Day Services team at Hertfordshire County Council is looking for an Assistant Locality Manager to help run our day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and other needs across Hertfordshire.

You will support the Deputy Locality Manager, monitor quality and compliance, supervise staff, and coordinate across bases in Hertford, Hoddesdon and Cheshunt, fostering a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Willing to complete Level 4 when in post.
• Supervisory experience in social care or related setting.
• Strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills.
• Experience leading a team or service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational delivery of the Day Service.
• Support the Deputy Locality Manager to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Provide hands-on supervision and line management.

About the team

We support adults with learning disabilities and provide experiences and opportunities designed in collaboration with the people we support with a can-do attitude, building positive relationships, maintaining or improving their independence and developing a sense of belonging. About the role

The Day Service Assistant Locality Manager has day to day operational responsibility for the service and the team to ensure we provide a high-quality day opportunities for the people we support. You will support the Deputy Locality Manager to achieve this, through robust quality monitoring to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, whilst providing hands on supervision and line management support.

You’ll split your days working across our Older People and Learning Disability services which have bases in Hertford, Hoddesdon and Cheshunt.

• Health and Social Care RQF Level 3 and willing to complete the Health and Social Care Level 4 when in post
• Supervisory experience working in a social care or related setting (e.g., education or health)
• A good standard of numeracy, literacy and IT skills
• Experience of leading a team or service
