Job summary

The Day Services team at Hertfordshire County Council is looking for an Assistant Locality Manager to help run our day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and other needs across Hertfordshire.

You will support the Deputy Locality Manager, monitor quality and compliance, supervise staff, and coordinate across bases in Hertford, Hoddesdon and Cheshunt, fostering a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Willing to complete Level 4 when in post.
• Supervisory experience in social care or related setting.
• Strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills.
• Experience leading a team or service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational delivery of the Day Service.
• Support the Deputy Locality Manager to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Provide hands-on supervision and line management.
• Coordinate across bases in Hertford, Hoddesdon and Cheshunt.
