Housing 21 is seeking an Assistant Local Housing Manager to work closely with the Local Housing Manager to create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for residents living independently in their own homes.
The role involves building relationships, supporting independence, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality customer service. Experience with older or vulnerable people and knowledge of housing/community services are desirable, with CIH qualifications preferred but not essential.

This is a varied and rewarding role where your ability to build relationships, solve problems, provide excellent customer service and support people to live independently will be just as important as your previous experience., We're particularly interested in what you can bring to the role, rather than simply looking for someone who has done the same job before.
You could be coming from customer service, care, retail, hospitality, administration, community work, property, education, the charity sector - or another role where you've developed strong people and organisational skills.
You'll need an excellent standard of reading, writing and numeracy. Experience of working with older people, vulnerable people, housing or community services would be desirable, but it isn't essential. Knowledge of issues affecting older or vulnerable people, including dementia, mental health or drug and alcohol use, would also be beneficial. A CIH Level 3 or 4 qualification is desirable, but not essential.
