Job summary

The Big Fresh Catering Company is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Kitchen Manager to support the daily running of a busy kitchen serving approximately 1000 meals daily, on a 30-hour, term-time schedule at Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg.

You will supervise staff in the Kitchen Manager's absence, plan and organise kitchen operations, and bring initiative to day-to-day activities with a strong commitment to quality catering.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise staff to achieve service objectives.
• Ability to plan and organise the kitchen to its full potential.
• Be able to use initiative in day-to-day kitchen running.
• At least 2 years cooking experience in busy catering recently.
• Commitment to providing a quality catering service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Ensure high-volume catering runs smoothly for ~1000 meals daily.
