Job summary

Gambit Search is representing a specialist insolvency practice in Manchester seeking an Assistant Manager to take a senior role in its Business Insolvency team. You will work closely with Partners on a varied caseload and help grow the practice. There is a clear route toward Director or Partner for the right person.

You will manage corporate insolvency work, provide technical oversight and develop associates while building strong relationships with directors and referrers.

Qualifications

• Substantial corporate insolvency experience across the full range of procedures.
• CPI qualification or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of insolvency legislation and best practice.
• Experience leading and developing a team.
• Commercial awareness and confidence advising directors under financial pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency and restructuring appointments (CVLs, administrations, MVLs, CVAs).
• Provide technical oversight across the team's cases and review statutory reports and investigation findings.
• Keep appointments compliant with legislation, SIPs and regulatory requirements.
• Support Partners on complex and contentious matters.
• Supervise, mentor and develop Associates and Senior Associates.
• Build relationships with directors, lenders, accountants, solicitors and other referrers.
• Support business development and contribute to department targets.

• Supervising, mentoring and developing Associates and Senior Associates
• Building relationships with directors, lenders, accountants, solicitors and other referrers
• Supporting business development and contributing to department targets
