Job summary

Balshaw Lane Community Primary School is seeking an inspirational and strategic Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a pivotal leadership role shaping the school's direction and improving outcomes for every pupil.

You will lead the curriculum across Key Stage 2 and work closely with EY/KS1 leadership to ensure a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that meets all children's needs and supports staff development.

Qualifications

• QTS through any route.
• Substantial leadership experience in Key Stage 2.
• Experience leading curriculum with ambition and inclusivity.
• Commitment to safeguarding and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the KS2 curriculum across Years 3–6 with ambition and breadth.
• Support EY/KS1 leadership to ensure continuity across the school.
• Drive school improvement and outcomes for all pupils.
• Develop staff and pupil development through collaborative leadership.
• Work with Headteacher to uphold high standards of teaching and behaviour.
