Job summary

Balshaw Lane Community Primary School is seeking an inspirational and strategic Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team, shaping school direction and driving improvement to secure the best outcomes for every pupil.

The successful candidate will lead the Key Stage 2 curriculum, work closely with the EY/KS1 Assistant Headteacher, and support staff and families to uphold high standards of teaching, behaviour and personal development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through any route.
• Experience leading Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) or equivalent.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and school improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum across Key Stage 2 and support subject leaders.
• Collaborate with Headteacher and SLT to drive school improvement.
• Support development of staff and pupils to achieve high standards.
