Job summary

Balshaw Lane Community Primary School is seeking an inspirational and strategic Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team, shaping school direction and driving improvement to secure the best outcomes for every pupil.

The successful candidate will lead the Key Stage 2 curriculum, work closely with the EY/KS1 Assistant Headteacher, and support staff and families to uphold high standards of teaching, behaviour and personal development.

Qualifications

Balshaw Lane Community Primary School is seeking an inspirational and strategic Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our school, driving improvement and ensuring the best outcomes for every pupil.

As an Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping school improvement, leading strategic priorities and supporting the development of staff and pupils. You will work closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and personal development are embedded across the school. You will champion excellence, foster a strong sense of belonging and ensure that no child is left behind.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the curriculum across Key Stage 2 and you will work closely with our EY/KS1 Assistant Headteacher to ensure our curriculum is broad, balanced, ambitious, inclusive and meets the needs of our children to ensure high standards across the school.

This is a permanent, full-time role.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through any route.
• Is an excellent, experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who genuinely puts children at the heart of all they do.
• Substantial, proven teaching or leadership experience within Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6).
