Job Title: Assistant Headteacher - Inclusion and SEND

Location: New Barn School, Newbury, RG20 8HZ

Salary: Up to £53,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

We are recruiting for an Assistant Headteacher to lead on Inclusion at New Barn School in Newbury. The school supports pupils aged 6 to 19 with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) and other complex needs.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with complex learning needs, understanding how these needs impact learning and behavior. Knowledge of SEMH and curriculum design principles is essential. You will foster a culture of excellence and be a driving force in curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Headteacher in achieving high educational standards through strategic leadership in areas like Careers, PSHE, and staff training.
  • Model outstanding practice and provide visible leadership through duties and stakeholder engagement.
