Job summary

E-ACT Bristol Academy South is seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher - Behaviour to shape academy culture, lead behaviour, attendance and inclusion strategies, and create an environment where every pupil can learn, thrive and achieve their full potential.

As a strategic leader you will drive development and implementation of behaviour systems that promote high standards, positive relationships and outstanding outcomes for all pupils.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
• Successful teaching experience with a proven track record of improving pupil outcomes.
• Experience of leadership and management within a school setting, including behaviour, pastoral or inclusion initiatives.
• Outstanding leadership, communication and people management skills with the ability to inspire colleagues.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management, safeguarding, attendance and inclusion strategies with data-driven improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for behaviour, conduct and academy culture, ensuring high expectations and positive outcomes for all pupils.
• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of behaviour systems, policies and improvement strategies across the academy.
• Oversee attendance, inclusion and pupil engagement, working with pastoral teams and external agencies to improve outcomes.
• Lead and support Heads of Year, Pastoral Leaders and associated teams, ensuring effective pastoral systems.
• Deliver staff training, coaching and professional development to strengthen behaviour management and inclusion.
