ROKA Canary Wharf is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Head Sommelier to join our dynamic wine team. You will bring passion for hospitality and a guest‑centric mindset to ensure every guest enjoys a warm, memorable welcome from arrival.

As a hands‑on leader, you’ll coach the team in delivering the exceptional service that defines ROKA, while maintaining our high standards in a fast-paced environment and contributing to a world‑class dining experience.

Qualifications

• Genuine love for hospitality and exceptional dining experiences.
• Proven experience as a Senior Sommelier or Assistant Head Sommelier in high-volume setting.
• Stock, ordering and deliveries experience.
• Warm, customer-focused approach creating memorable guest moments.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead the wine team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Inspire and manage the wine team to maintain high standards and efficiency.
• Assist in wine program development and stock control, ordering, and supplier relations.
• Represent ROKA in ensuring flawless guest service during peak periods.

Our Ideal Assistant Head Sommelier

You’ll embody our values and bring:

• A genuine love for hospitality, with a passion for Japanese cuisine and exceptional dining experiences

• Proven experience as a Senior Sommelier or an Assistant Head Sommelier in a quality, high‑volume restaurant environment

• WSET Level 2 or 3 (desired), but will consider applicants with relevant experience

• Stock, ordering, and deliveries experience.

• A warm, customer‑focused approach, with the ability to create memorable moments for every guest.
