Job summary

ROKA Canary Wharf in London is seeking an Assistant Head Sommelier to lead our wine program with passion for hospitality, Japanese cuisine and memorable guest moments. As a hands-on senior team member, you’ll inspire the wine team, deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced setting, manage stock and deliveries, and collaborate with service to uphold ROKA’s high standards.

• Proven senior sommelier or assistant head sommelier in high-volume restaurant.
• WSET Level 2 or 3 desirable.
• Stock, ordering, and deliveries experience.
• Warm, customer-focused approach creating memorable moments.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Head Sommelier to join our vibrant team at ROKA Canary Wharf. As a key member of our wine team, you will embody our passion for exceptional hospitality, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, memorable welcome from the moment they arrive.

Our Ideal Assistant Head Sommelier

You’ll embody our values and bring:

• A genuine love for hospitality, with a passion for Japanese cuisine and exceptional dining experiences

• Proven experience as a Senior Sommelier or an Assistant Head Sommelier in a quality, high-volume restaurant environment

• WSET Level 2 or 3 (desired), but will consider applicants with relevant experience

• Stock, ordering, and deliveries experience.

• A warm, customer-focused approach, with the ability to create memorable moments for every guest.
