In this busy and exciting role, you will provide strategic, operational and educational leadership across our Construction & Technical Trades apprenticeship provision, including Plumbing, Electrical, Bricklaying, Carpentry and Property Maintenance.
Working closely with the Head of Faculty, you will lead and develop apprenticeship teams, drive continuous improvements in teaching, learning and assessment, and ensure apprentices receive an outstanding experience from enrolment through to successful End-Point Assessment. You will take the operational lead for OneFile, using performance data to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement and support timely achievement.
You will also play an important role in strengthening relationships with regional employers and ensuring our curriculum continues to respond to industry needs. Combining your technical expertise with strong leadership skills, you will help us achieve excellent outcomes for apprentices while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and learner experience.

What we're looking for:
We are looking for an experienced and inspirational leader with current experience of teaching, learning and assessment within educational and work-based environments.
You will have a minimum Level 3 qualification within a relevant vocational industry, a Level 3 Assessment & Quality Assurance qualification or equivalent, GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above or equivalent, and a Level 5 teaching qualification and Level 4 Assessment & Quality Assurance qualification, or a willingness to work towards these where applicable.
You will bring strong line management experience, including performance management, recruitment, appraisals and attendance management, alongside evidence of successfully leading teams and delivering sustained improvements in achievement and learner experience.
With excellent knowledge of curriculum development, quality assurance and current Further Education initiatives, you will be confident analysing performance data, setting priorities and communicating effectively with colleagues, apprentices and employers.
Experience of managing learner qualifications through e-portfolio systems will also be essential.
