Aldwark Manor Estate is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and ensure the hotel, facilities and equipment are well maintained to a high standard. You will report to the Hotel Manager and work across the estate to support a safe, compliant and exceptional guest experience.
The role combines strong people leadership with planned and reactive maintenance, contractor management, and cost control.

Hours of Work: Full Time – 5 days over 7, including weekends, Bank Holidays and occasional late shifts
Salary: £36,822.00
Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned Hotel with Golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury Hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings.
In recent years, the hotel has undergone significant investment and renovation, transforming the bedrooms, restaurant, residents’ lounge, sports bar and all public areas to deliver a refined and contemporary guest experience.
December 2025 marked the completion and opening of the new Salus Spa facilities, further enhancing the estate’s luxury leisure offering. The next phase of development will see the addition of new bedrooms, expanded event spaces and additional treatment rooms, all scheduled to open later this year.

As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the maintenance function across Aldwark Manor Estate. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will lead the maintenance team, ensuring the hotel, facilities, building fabric and equipment are maintained to a high standard, while supporting a safe, compliant and exceptional guest and team member experience.
The role will combine strong people leadership, planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, contractor management, project support and cost control. You will work closely with the Hotel Manager, Heads of Department and external contractors to ensure the Estate remains safe, operational, well presented and maintained to the standards expected of a luxury hotel.
The working time will be 5 days over 7. Shifts will vary and may include weekends, Bank Holidays and occasional late shifts. The role will also provide support to the Head Groundskeeper where required.
