Job summary

Brunelcare is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Head Chef in planning, preparing, presenting and serving nutritious meals for residents and visitors. You will ensure meals meet high standards and are delivered on time, while maintaining strict cleanliness and health-and-safety practices.

The successful candidate will be able to work various hours and weekends, thrive in a team, and demonstrate willingness to undertake further training to gain relevant qualifications as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering environment is essential.
• Available to work various hours and shift patterns, including weekends.
• Work well within the team, maintaining effective communication at all times.
• Willingness to undergo further training and attain relevant qualifications where required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with planning, organising, preparing, presenting, and serving meals.
• Ensure food is produced to high standards and delivered to service points on time.
• Maintain high cleanliness and follow Health and Safety procedures.
• May step in for the Head Chef in their absence.
