Job summary

Zizzi is seeking an Assistant Head Chef to lead shifts in our busy kitchen, support the Head Chef, and inspire the team during peak service. You’ll balance a buzzing restaurant floor with delivery channels and grow through a clear progression path.

You will coach chefs, ensure consistent food quality, manage stock and labour, and maintain food safety across both dine-in and delivery orders while keeping a calm, organised kitchen during the busiest times.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to coach and develop junior chefs.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen and run the pass in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Deliver consistent food quality across dine-in and delivery.
• Manage stock, labour, prep, and cost control.
• Coach and develop junior chefs and foster team spirit.
• Model safety and maintain cleanliness and food safety standards.
