Job summary

Apex Hotels is seeking a Group, Conference & Events Manager to lead a regional team across Dundee or Dunblane. You will drive event sales, ensure operational excellence and deliver exceptional client experiences across all conference spaces.

You will lead, coach and develop planners, manage KPIs, and work closely with commercial and operational teams to maximise revenue while maintaining brand standards and safety across properties.

• Proven experience in a senior conference and events role within hospitality.

• Commercially astute with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and client relationship skills.

Role Overview:

To lead and inspire a regional team of event planners, a pivotal role responsible for driving event sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional client experiences across all conference and event spaces.

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Conference & Events planners, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Drive the achievement of individual and team KPIs, monitoring performance, conversion rates and sales pipeline activity.
• Maximise conference and events revenue across the region through effective sales leadership and close collaboration with commercial, revenue and operational teams.
• Identify revenue risks and opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to address performance gaps and support business growth.
• Contribute to the development and execution of regional sales strategies, promotional campaigns and commercial initiatives.
• Act as the senior point of contact for key clients and high-value events, ensuring exceptional service and long-term relationship management.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of complex and multi-site events, ensuring a seamless customer experience from enquiry to completion.
• Ensure consistent adherence to event planning processes, brand standards, health and safety requirements and legal compliance across all properties.
• Build strong partnerships with hotel operational teams and key stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of events and customer satisfaction.
• Produce and present regular performance reports and commercial insights to senior leadership, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement

• Proficient in event management systems (e.g., Infor, Delphi, Opera, or similar).
