Trafford Council in the Greater Manchester area is recruiting for a career grade Greenspace & Street Cleansing role. You will support development and performance management of greenspace and street cleansing services, working with the Greenspace & Street Cleansing Manager.

About the Role

This is an exciting career grade opportunity for someone with experience in greenspace management, street cleansing, or a related field who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Working alongside the Greenspace & Street Cleansing Manager, you will support the development and performance management of Trafford's greenspace and street cleansing services.

Contract management is a significant part of the role. You will work closely with the service provider to ensure customer expectations are met and performance targets are achieved. You will monitor delivery, investigate service issues and challenge performance.

You will build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholder, using those relationships to resolve issues and deliver positive outcomes for Trafford.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience of greenspace, street cleansing, environmental services, grounds maintenance or a similar operational service.
• Builds strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and can communicate, negotiate and influence effectively.
• Has experience of monitoring service delivery and managing contractor or service performance.
• Can interpret performance data, identify trends and use evidence to challenge performance and drive service improvement.
• Is committed to learning and development and has the ambition to progress through the career grade.
• Is passionate about delivering high-quality frontline services and improving outcomes for local communities.

• Willing and able to travel to sites within the Trafford Borough.
