Job summary

Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf Club seeks an Assistant Greenkeeper to join its greenkeeping team. You will maintain and enhance the 18-hole championship course to peak condition year-round.

The role requires a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management, flexibility for early mornings and weekends, and a valid UK driving licence. PA1/PA2/PA6 certificates are a bonus; salary is competitive with overtime and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Daily course maintenance: mowing, divoting, bunker raking, turf care.

Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf Club (AGAWS) is a prestigious member owned parkland/heathland course located in Bedfordshire, renowned for its superb conditioning and welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in delivering a top-tier experience to our members and guests, and now we’re looking for a passionate Assistant Greenkeeper following the retirement of one of our team members after 36 years at the club.

The Role:

• Adopting a pro-active approach to course presentation and attention to detail.

About You:

• NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management as a minimum.
• Previous experience in greenkeeping or grounds maintenance preferred
• Passionate about course presentation, sustainability, and the outdoors
• Flexible and reliable - early mornings and weekend work required on a rota
• PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates would be a bonus
• Full UK driving licence essential
