Job summary

YesGolfing is seeking a motivated Qualified Greenkeeper to join the greens team at our golf course. You will handle daily turf care, mowing, aeration, irrigation, top dressing and course setup while supporting team development and machinery maintenance.

Ideal candidates have prior greenkeeper experience, a strong work ethic, and a readiness to learn. NVQ Level 2+ in sports turf care is required, with training offered to gain mechanical qualifications.

The Qualified Greenkeeper will join the greens team to maintain and prepare the golf course to a high standard. The role covers daily turf care, mowing, aeration, irrigation, top dressing and course setup, with opportunities to develop mechanical skills and gain further qualifications.

Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our golf course greens team as a Qualified Greenkeeper.

This is an excellent opportunity to become a key part of a small team of enthusiastic greenkeepers, maintaining both the golf course and the machinery essential to its presentation and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and preparation of the golf course to a high standard. Assist with daily course maintenance tasks as required such as switching and brushing, mowing banks, rough and semi-rough, surrounds and approaches, tees, greens and fairways. Scarifying/verticutting turf, aerating and irrigating turf, applying nutrition and top dressing. Changing holes and driving a tractor with implements.

The Ideal Candidate:

It is imperative that you understand the importance of good time-keeping and punctuality within the role.

• -Experience working as a Greenkeeper
• -Good understanding of golf course maintenance
• -Having a strong work ethic, firm desire to learn, being a flexible well-motivated team player
• -NVQ Level 2 or above in sports turf care
• -All applicants must have the right to work in the UK prior to commencing employment. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role
• -Mechanical Experience/Interest
• -Full support and training to achieve mechanical qualification will be provided for the right candidate

• Salary negotiable depending on experience. Starting Salary From £27,500 plus weekend overtime.
