Job summary

Aquarius Golf Club near London is seeking an experienced greenkeeper to maintain and develop the 9-hole course for members and guests. You will work alongside the General Manager as part of a small team and volunteers, with early starts and some weekend coverage.

The post is offered full-time or part-time (3 days a week) with a negotiable salary and benefits commensurate with experience. Pro-rata terms apply for part-time applicants.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf Maintenance required.
• PA1 and PA2 spraying certifications required.
• Good communication and friendly disposition.
• Keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the presentation of the golf course, clubhouse and surrounding areas.
• Support the General Manager to enhance the members' experience on the golf course.
• Cutting and treatment of greens, fairways and rough using ride-on and other mowers.
• Maintain specialised machinery and ensure health and safety protocols.

Established in 1912, Aquarius Golf Club is a private 9-hole golf club close to the heart of London. Built on top and around Beechcroft reservoir in Honor Oak, it presents a unique challenge for golfers with stunning views across the London skyline. An increasing interest in playing Golf at Aquarius has seen a rapidly developing membership. The club committee is delighted to offer the opportunity for a qualified greenkeeper to lead the small greens team and enhance the golfing experience for members and their guests.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the General Manager and join a small dedicated staff team, along with a team of volunteers. We are seeking an experienced greenkeeper to focus on maintaining and developing the course for our members and their guests.

The Candidate:

You will be qualified to NVQ Level 2 and the post is offered on a full-time or part-time basis (3 days a week) Due to the nature of the position, you must be available for early starts and some weekend cover.

Remuneration:

We offer a competitive and negotiable salary pro-rata for p/t) and benefits package commensurate with the applicant's knowledge, skills and experience, along with opportunities for training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• -Maintaining the presentation of the golf course, clubhouse and surrounding areas.
• -Supporting the General Manager to enhance the members' experience on the golf course and promote sustainability.
• -Cutting and treatment of greens, fairways and rough using ride-on and other mowers to a high standard.
• -Maintaining specialised machinery used for course maintenance ensuring that all health and safety protocols are adhered to.
