Job summary

Homes for Students, the UK's leading independent provider of Student Accommodation, is seeking an Assistant General Manager for The Quarter House Property in Bristol. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am–5.30pm, and focuses on delivering exceptional service across sales, maintenance and housekeeping.

You will support the General Manager during the September peak, overseeing check-in/out and room turnaround, while coordinating with our dedicated teams to ensure high standards

Qualifications

• Experience in team management within a similar role or environment.
• Proficiency in presenting and analysing information clearly and accurately.
• Excellent organisational skills to ensure smooth operations.
• Ability to collaborate, inspire, and motivate team members.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office software.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer service across sales, maintenance and housekeeping.
• Lead and inspire the site team to uphold company values and performance.
• Support the General Manager, especially during the September check-in/out and room turnaround.
• Coordinate with area and regional teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Support new students and manage customer or operational challenges as they arise.
