Homes for Students in Bedford is seeking an Assistant General Manager for Polhill Park Property. This full-time role involves leading the sales, maintenance and housekeeping teams, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth daily operations across the site.

You will support the General Manager during busy periods, coordinate check-ins and check-outs, and drive room turnaround while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in team management within a similar role or environment
• Proficiency in presenting and analysing information accurately and effectively
• Excellent organisational skills to ensure seamless operations
• Ability to work collaboratively, inspire, and motivate team members
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver customer service across sales, maintenance and housekeeping.
• Collaborate closely with the site team to uphold company values and drive performance.
• Support the General Manager during the September busy period, including check-in/check-out and room turnaround.
• Communicate effectively with new students and manage customer or operational challenges as they arise.
• Work with wider business and regional teams to ensure smooth site operations and continuous improvement.
