Job summary

Berkeley Living, the Berkeley Group's dedicated rental brand, seeks an Assistant General Manager to support two Berkeley Living properties in Hendon and Wembley. You will work with the General Manager and leasing team to ensure exceptional service and strong performance across both communities.

The role covers operations, finance, health and safety, leasing, and resident engagement, with a 50/50 hybrid work model and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supporting operational management, ideally within Build to Rent/Living sector.
• Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
• Excellent financial acumen and budget management experience.
• A collaborative mindset with exceptional communication skills.
• A commitment to sustainability, safety, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in implementing operational plans and ensuring smooth day-to-day delivery across both sites.
• Provide visible leadership to on-site teams, supporting performance, wellbeing, development and a positive working environment.
• Coordinate with centralised teams to deliver consistent customer service and resident engagement initiatives.
• Help establish and maintain productive local relationships and partnerships.
• Support sustainability initiatives aligned with Vision 2030, including effective void utility management.
• Assist with routine apartment visits, lease compliance follow-up and identifying maintenance concerns.
• Maintain liaison with estate management teams on wider development operations.
• Work flexibly across both schemes to maintain consistent standards and coverage.
