Job summary

Berkeley Living, part of the Berkeley Group, is seeking a General Manager to lead our 187‑unit Eden Grove BTR scheme in Staines.

You will drive day‑to‑day operations, oversee on‑site teams, leasing, resident service and sustainability initiatives, aligning with Vision 2030 strategy to deliver excellence.

The role requires strong financial management, leadership, and a passion for exceptional resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operational management within Build to Rent/Living sector.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to develop teams.
• Excellent financial acumen and budget management experience.
• Collaborative mindset with exceptional communication.
• Commitment to sustainability, safety, and outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational plans for day-to-day running.
• Lead and motivate an on-site team; manage wellbeing and development.
• Oversee recruitment, induction, and learning for the on-site team.
• Collaborate with central support teams for best-in-class service.
• Establish local relationships and sustainability initiatives.
• Manage voids, lease compliance, and maintenance coordination.
• Ensure rent collection and arrears processes are followed.
• Oversee H&S compliance and site safety systems.
• Coordinate leasing and marketing to drive resident viewings.
• Deliver Resident Engagement Strategy and events program.
