Job summary

SSP in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager and team in delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence. This full-time role covers weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, with a 40-hour workweek and hours flexing between 5am–7pm.

You will lead by example, mentor and train staff, uphold brand quality and safety standards, and inspire loyalty through outstanding service and teamwork across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a hospitality or retail team.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager to lead the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Mentor and train staff to grow and excel.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and brand integrity.
• Adapt to flexible shift patterns across weekdays, weekends and holidays.
