Job summary

The Ivy Collection in Manchester is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations and guest experiences.

You will support the General Manager, help plan and drive restaurant strategy with the Head Chef, manage budgets, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service. This role requires standout leadership, excellent English, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an Assistant General Manager role.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to lead the team.
• Excellent English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day restaurant management, including acting in their absence.
• Collaborate with General Manager and Head Chef on strategic planning and development of the restaurant.
• Own budget management including direct and indirect costs.
• Lead, inspire and motivate the restaurant team to achieve stability, productivity and loyalty.

Your key responsibilities as Assistant General Manager:

• Support the General Manager in the day-to-day management of the restaurant, taking full responsibility in their absence.
• Maintain responsibility for the overall strategic planning, development, and success of the restaurant together with the General Manager and Head Chef
• Assume responsibility for budget management, including the management of direct and indirect costs.
• Maintain responsibility for leading, inspiring, and motivating the restaurant team to achieve stability, productivity, and loyalty.
• To consistently act as a role-model in delivering the highest standard of guest service.
