SSE is seeking an Assistant Forestry Manager to join the Forestry team in Scotland. You will help plan and deliver forestry activities on transmission projects, working with experienced managers to ensure safe, responsible execution.

Based in Scotland with a mix of office and site work, you’ll develop across project lifecycles and collaborate with landowners, contractors and statutory bodies to maintain high standards and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of forestry management practice and related protocols.
• Understanding of woodland valuation and standing tree crops.
• Good communication and organisational skills across stakeholders.
• HNC/HND/degree or equivalent in forestry or land management.

Responsabilités

• Support forestry planning, design and delivery across a portfolio of transmission projects with project teams.
• Coordinate forestry project management activity including programme updates and records.
• Identify and manage forestry-related risks to project delivery, network security and woodland management.
• Support forestry input at different project stages from early site assessment to delivery.
• Build positive working relationships with landowners, tenants, agents, contractors and forestry bodies.
