Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking an Assistant Forestry Manager to support forestry planning, design and delivery on major north Scotland transmission projects. You will work with Forestry Managers and project teams to ensure safe, timely and responsible delivery across the project lifecycle.

The role offers a strong development path in a large infrastructure environment, with 50% office presence in Scotland (Perth/Aberdeen/Inverness) and flexible options.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of forestry management practice and timber harvesting operations.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities for stakeholder engagement.
• Understanding of woodland management planning and planting schemes.

Responsibilities

• Support forestry planning, design and delivery across transmission projects.
• Coordinate programme updates, project information and actions for safe delivery.
• Identify and manage forestry-related risks to project delivery and network security.
• Assist with site assessment and development through to project delivery.
• Build relationships with landowners, agents, contractors and forestry bodies.
