Zusammenfassung

SSE Transmission seeks an Assistant Forestry Manager to join the Forestry team in Scotland. Based from Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness, you will support planning, design and delivery of forestry work on major transmission projects, ensuring safety, responsibility and attention to detail.

You will work alongside Forestry Managers and project teams, manage forestry input across lifecycle stages, and develop expertise in timber harvesting operations within a large infrastructure environment.

Qualifikationen

• Forestry knowledge and practice.
• Understanding of the UK Forestry Standard and felling licence requirements.
• Willingness to develop woodland valuation knowledge.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Aufgaben

• Support forestry planning, design and delivery across a portfolio of transmission projects with Forestry Managers and project teams.
• Coordinate forestry project management activities, including programme updates and project information.
• Identify and manage forestry-related risks to project delivery and woodland management.
• Support forestry input at different project stages from site assessment to delivery.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
