Job Description:

Spencer Clarke Group is pleased to partner with an impressive FMCG organisation based in the heart of Manchester City Centre to recruit an Assistant Accountant due to expansion.

This truly international company is looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager in managing the finance functions.

You will assist with the production of accounts in multiple currencies, ensuring compliance with local practices & standards.

About the role

Based in Manchester, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of month-end balance sheet reconciliations
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Assistance with audits and in-country filings
• Support with FP&A work for the region
• Cost control and accounting for retail products
• Assisting with budgets & forecasts

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working in a global environment
• AAT qualification or part-qualified ACCA
• Experience with multicurrency consolidations
• Exposure to IFRS

Desirable but not essential experience includes:

• Cost and inventory accounting
• Experience in manufacturing sector
• Software experience: QB Advanced, SAP Business One
• Spanish speaking (optional)
