Job summary

Noble Foods Home of the Happy Egg Co. is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to support daily operations on a busy egg-laying farm in Driffield. You will help with flock management, staff rotas, and data reporting to help meet production targets.

You will work closely with the Farm Manager to maintain animal welfare, biosecurity and farm standards, while developing the team through coaching and hands-on leadership. This role offers a path into poultry farming leadership and long-term development.

Qualifications

• Effective team coordination and support in daily farm operations.
• Strong observational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of modern layer farm systems and equipment.
• Clear and confident communication for reporting and team use.
• Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks.
• Understanding of animal welfare and biosecurity standards.
• Basic IT literacy including farm management software.

Responsibilities

• Flock management and egg production monitoring.
• Assist in tracking daily production, mortality, feed intake and weight gain.
• Help maintain appropriate environmental conditions in poultry houses.
• Support vaccination and disease prevention programmes.
• Enforce biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines.
• Assist with staff rotas and daily task allocation.
• Train team members on procedures, hygiene and safety.
• Support reporting of KPI data and equipment condition.
