Facilities Manager – Facilities Management

Edinburgh

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join Galliford Try within our Facilities Management Business, supporting the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Provide support for Royal Edinburgh Hospital, handling enquiries from clients, customers, and staff.
  2. Ensure subcontractors deliver services according to roles, health and safety regulations, and GT standards.
  3. Review subcontractors' compliance with legislation, regulations, and standards.
  4. Monitor subcontractor works, review reports, and ensure standards are met.
  5. Report events and tasks to the Help Desk and follow through to completion.
  6. Coordinate and administer COSHH requirements and maintain stock levels.
  7. Assist in training new employees and cover for the Facilities Manager when needed.
  8. Support administrative tasks like generating invoices, raising purchase orders, and maintaining records.
  9. Support engineering transport needs and assist with reports and lifecycle planning.
About you:
  • Strong communication and management skills.
  • Knowledge of PFI, PPP, and contract management.
  • Computer literate with MS Office skills.
  • Relevant degree and managerial experience in facilities management preferred.
