About the role of Assistant Estimator:

This is a key role within the Chevron Group, supporting the commercial and operational teams in ensuring efficient contract delivery and assisting with the preparation of 'in contract' quotations.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing and building client relationships
• Managing client portals with prompt responses and data uploads
• Reviewing client challenges related to submissions
• Collaborating with operational leads to understand scheme requirements
• Reviewing traffic management designs
• Compiling target cost backup sheets for clients
• Reviewing and pricing compensation events
• Participating in weekly and monthly update meetings between commercial and operations
• Updating scheme and contract registers

What good looks like for an Assistant Estimator:

• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a commercial setting
• Knowledge of temporary traffic management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers
• Full UK driving licence

Preferred additional skills:

• Understanding of NEC contracts
• Knowledge of digital services and product deployment
