Job Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Proposal Engineer / Trainee Estimator Assistant to support our Sales team on significant engineering projects. You will learn to use hydraulic software to design detailed sprinkler system layouts, including calculating water flow rates and pressure losses. Training will be provided.

You will also prepare cost estimates, write proposals, and liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Sales team on large projects
• Learning hydraulic software proficiency
• Preparing accurate cost estimates
• Developing skills in estimating, proposal writing, and customer relations
• Understanding project specifications and client requirements
• Learning sprinkler design standards (LPC BSEN 12845, NFPA, FM Global)
• Managing administrative tasks and enquiries
