Job summary

SOUTH WESTERN AMBULANCE SERVICE is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Officer to support statutory duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and NHS England EPRR requirements.

Base locations include the East Devon Operations Centre or North Bristol Operations Centre with regular travel across the South West to support meetings, training, exercises and fleet assurance.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, maintenance and testing of emergency plans, business continuity arrangements and operational procedures.
• Coordinate and support training, exercises, audits and assurance activities with NHS partners and Local Resilience Forums.
• Line manage the EPRR Support Coordinators and oversee the EPRR fleet and equipment to ensure readiness for incidents and major events.
• Travel regularly across the South West to support meetings, training, incidents and partnership work.
