Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is looking for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join the Power Transmission & Distribution team in Newcastle. You will support the Engineering Manager and delivery teams by handling design and engineering requirements, ensuring successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant experience.
• Experience in engineering design and project administration.
• Excellent administration, project controls and interpersonal skills.
• A solid baseline of engineering and project management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract requirements with Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Meet with design delivery teams to identify requirements and timelines.
• Control, update and report on workload progress and estimates.
• Report variations in contract scope to Project Manager.
• Develop detailed project plans and revise based on needs.
• Monitor project performance to ensure timely delivery.
• Compile and submit project status reports to clients and management.
• Specify and quantify equipment and material for projects.
• Work effectively with relevant stakeholders for implementation.
• Coordinate engineering activity to deliver projects successfully.
