Job summary

Balfour Beatty is recruiting a Graduate Engineering Manager to join its 2027 Early Careers programme in Newcastle. You will gain hands-on experience, taking on real responsibility while developing technical, leadership and project management skills.

Working with Power Transmission & Distribution teams, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of engineering work across major infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree with minimum 2:2 honours.
• Evidence of proactive, curious mindset and willingness to develop professionally.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.
• Interest in infrastructure and energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver engineering activities for major infrastructure, industrial and energy projects.
• Support planning, coordination and monitoring of engineering work to meet schedules, budgets and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and design teams to meet project requirements.
• Assist with design reviews, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
