Job summary

N Family Club in Winchester is seeking an Assistant Educator to help deliver the N Curriculum through learning and play, creating an inspiring environment. You’ll learn from experienced staff and work closely with families to support every child’s development.

No prior professional experience is required; we welcome passion for education and a readiness to complete induction and funded training, including Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for education and changing children's lives.
• Drive to complete induction and pursue training including Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding.
• Willingness to gain Level 2/3 EY qualification when offered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the learning through play ethos and N Curriculum with care and flair.
• Follow daily routines and ensure smooth transitions between activities.
• Support planning of innovative learning experiences for child development.
• Assist with high-quality observations, assessments, and planning for key children.
• Help supervise mealtimes following N safety policies.
• Complete daily health and safety checks and escalate concerns as needed.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
• Embed policies and procedures into daily practice.
• Keep all areas clean and tidy throughout the day.
• Assist with day-to-day tasks to keep the nursery running smoothly.

Your key responsibilities

• Deliver our ‘learning through play’ ethos and our N Curriculum with care and flair.
• Follow our daily routine and ensure smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
• Support the planning of innovative, challenging learning experiences that encourage child development.
• Support with high-quality observations, assessments, and planning for key children.
• Help supervise mealtimes in line with N’s safety policies.
• Complete daily health & safety checks thoroughly, escalating concerns where needed.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents.
• Embed all policies and procedures into your daily practice.
• Make sure every area is kept clean and tidy throughout the day.
• Help with day-to-day tasks that keep the nursery running smoothly.
